drawing mountains

Mountain Maker Cohorts is the host for my DRAWING MOUNTAINS COLLABORATIVE PROJECT: In the spring of 2009 I produced an imaginative drawing of mountains, 'Spirit Mountains for Papa,' inspired by my mountain-loving father, Barry Clark Walker (1942-2009). The "drawing mountains" series is motivated by that one drawing. For the series I wish to use photographic sources, as opposed to working imaginatively. I also want to approach this work through a collective and work collaboratively. Therefore, I will draw content and inspiration from the personal photographs of mountains posted by members of the FaceBook group, Mountain Maker Cohorts, rather than images accumulated from random media sources.
